Harley Gross, a resident of Shaker Heights and partner in Gross Builders, has been recognized over the years for his exceptional civic contributions. Over the years, Gross has served as President of Montefiore Home, President of the Jewish Education Center of Cleveland (JECC), and general chair of the Federation's Campaign for Jewish Needs, which led the community to a two-year fundraising total exceeding $61 million. In 2006, Gross was elected to a three-year term as board chair of the Jewish Federation of Cleveland by a unanimous vote. This interview is part of a series of interviews documenting the experience of leaders of the Jewish community in order to understand the development of the Jewish community and its role in the larger society.
