Morton (Mort) L. Mandel, born September 19, 1921 in Cleveland, Ohio, is well-known for his philanthropic activities in the Cleveland community as well as in Jewish institutions. He served as President of the Jewish Community Federation of Cleveland from 1974 – 1977. This interview is part of a series of interviews documenting the experience of leaders of the Jewish community in order to understand the development of the Jewish community and its role in the larger society.
