Rita Torchinsky, 59, of Solon is a 1980 emigrant from Simferopol, Crimea. In Cleveland, she found support among the many other Soviet émigrés living in the city, and is grateful that she does not have to be afraid to be Jewish. She currently works in a beauty shop.
